Image Resizer
Resize and crop images for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and websites.
Free. Runs in your browser: your images never leave your device.
You can also drag the preview.
Open an image, then choose a size. The preview shows exactly what will be saved.
How to use it
- Choose an image.
- Pick a preset, or type your own width and height.
- Choose Crop to fill the frame, then move the crop position, or Fit to show the whole image on a background colour.
- Download the resized image.
Good to know
- Images are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
- Platform sizes change. Each preset shows the date it was checked against the platform's own help pages.
- Enlarging a small image makes it softer. The tool warns you when the output is bigger than the original.
Questions
What size is an Instagram post?
Instagram keeps photos at full quality at 1080 pixels wide with a shape between landscape 1.91:1 and portrait 4:5, so 1080 by 1350 pixels is the tallest feed size in that range. Square posts are 1080 by 1080.
Crop or fit?
Crop fills the whole frame and trims the edges. Fit keeps the whole image and adds a coloured border where the shapes do not match.
